How We Work
Survey Methodology
00
STEP 01
Village Identification
Gram Panchayat-level mapping to identify eligible households, beneficiaries, and community touchpoints.
STEP 02
Awareness & Training
Structured IEC sessions (Information, Education & Communication) conducted with community members, especially women.
STEP 03
Household Survey
Door-to-door enumeration, baseline data collection, consent documentation and beneficiary registration.
STEP 04
Distribution & Audit
Product distribution events, post-distribution verification, GPS-tagged photographic audit with timestamp proof.

Improved Biomass
Cookstove Programme
01
The Improved Biomass Cookstove (IBC) programme, developed by CQuest Capital and implemented locally by MB Enterprises, targets rural households still dependent on traditional open-fire stoves — a significant source of indoor air pollution and carbon emissions.
Our field teams conducted intensive awareness campaigns across gram panchayats in West Bengal (Soongachi and surrounding villages) and Assam, reaching women’s self-help groups, local leaders, and household beneficiaries. A Focus Group Study preceded each distribution event to understand local cooking practices.
Key Observation
Traditional two-burner mud stoves remain prevalent in surveyed areas — the Baldwin improved cookstove demonstrated measurable reductions in biomass consumption and smoke exposure during field trials.
Women-Centred
Primary beneficiaries are rural women — training and distribution sessions specifically designed for female heads of household.
Fuel Efficiency
Improved stoves use significantly less biomass fuel per cooking cycle, reducing deforestation pressure and indoor smoke.
GPS-Verified
All distribution and stove installation sites geo-tagged and documented with timestamped photographs for audit compliance.
Carbon Credits
Programme enrolled under verified carbon offset framework — each deployed stove contributes to measurable emission reductions.
Project SHINE (Switching to High-efficiency, Integrated & New Energy) is a consumer LED bulb replacement initiative by CQuest Capital LED Asia Limited in partnership with EESL. MB Enterprises acts as the local implementing partner across multiple states.
Under this scheme, domestic consumers can exchange up to 5 existing ICL bulbs (incandescent) for LED equivalents at a nominal distribution fee of just ₹15 per bulb. Consumers receive 7W or 12W LEDs replacing 60W or 100W ICLs respectively, with a 3-year warranty.

95%
Maximum energy saving achieved by replacing incandescent ICL bulbs with LED alternatives — reducing electricity bills significantly for rural and semi-urban households.
₹15 Per Bulb
Subsidised distribution fee making LEDs accessible to all economic segments across surveyed areas.
Bill Verification
Electricity bill (max 3 months old) required at point of distribution to ensure genuine domestic users.
5 Bulbs/Household
Each registered domestic connection eligible for up to 5 LED bulbs per electricity meter connection.
3-Year Warranty
Full warranty from date of distribution covering manufacturing defects on all distributed LEDs.
